Chennai, the fourth largest city in India and seat of the culture and learning in South India.  Lying on the coromandel coast of the Bay of Bengal, it is a city famous for its beaches, historical monuments and its rich cultural heritage. World's longest beaches the 12 km long Marina Beach in Chennai. 

Kanchipuram, the city of thousand temples, is famous pilgrim centers in South India.  Kanchi is well known centre of the finest silk sarees made in the country. Kanchi has magnificent temples of unique architectural beauty bearing eloquent testimony to its glorious heritage. 

Arjuna's Penance:

Pondicherry: A quiet little town on the southern coast. The French connection, the tree lined boulevards, the quaint colonial heritage buildings, the spiritual scene, the endless stretches of unspoilt virgin beaches, backwater, surprising choice of restaurants serving a melange of cuisines, provide a heady mix that draw travellers from near and far.

Thanjavur / Tanjore: Sri Bragadeeswarar Temple, built by the great Chola king, Rajaraja in
10th century AD. The Palace, building of masonry built in 1550 AD. Art Gallery, number of granite and bronze statues of the Chola period.  Saraswathi Mahal Library, library where over 30,000 palm leaves and paper manuscripts. Hall of Music, Royal Museum.  Schwartz Church, Built in 1779 AD by Rajah Serfoji for Rev. C.V.Schwartz of the Danish Mission. Sivaganga Tank, known for its sweet water. Rajagopala Beerangi, Bell announcement stage.

Madurai, the second largest city in Tamil Nadu, known for renowned Meenakshi Temple, is famous for intricate carvings and scriptures. Madurai, 2,500 years old city in the bank of river Vaigai with rich culture & heritage.  Capital of Pandya, Madurai built by King Kulasekara, in 6th century BC.

Thekkady: Conjures up images of elephants, unending chains of hills and spice scented plantations. The Periyar forests, one of the finest wildlife reserves in India, spreads with the picturesque plantations and hill towns that hold great opportunities for treks & mountain walks.

Munnar, one of the popular attractions among the domestic & foreign travelers, Munnar situated at the confluence of three mountain streams, about 1600 m above sea level, the hill station with tea estates and Munnar was the resort of the erstwhile British administration in south India.
